Wisconsin Downs Indiana 57-50

It was the big showdown in the Big Ten tonight, and in the end, it was Bo Ryan‘s Wisconsin Badgers that came out on top against Indiana by making big plays final minute to win it by seven.

This is a huge win for Wisconsin as they move to 6-3 in the Big Ten, which puts them a game behind the three teams that are tied for first (Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan State).

For Indiana, not only do they drop to 4-5 in the league, but this is their fourth loss in their last five games.

They get Iowa next, who lost to Nebraska tonight, but that’s still no gimme. The Hoosiers haven’t made able to make the plays down the stretch recently that they were making several weeks ago.

And that’s why they haven’t been able to get in the win column very much in their last five.

We had some worries about Wisconsin early in the Big Ten season, but they’ve clearly started to hit their stride. With the way that they continue to play defense, they give themselves a chance every single time they step on the floor, regardless of how well things are flowing on offense.

They got great balance in the scoring department against the Hoosiers, and if that can continue, this team is going to have a real shot at catching the leaders and winning the Big Ten.
