NCAA Tournament 2012: North Carolina Cruises Past Vermont

facebooktwitterreddit

#1 seed North Carolina had no issues in their first round matchup versus #16 Vermont. They cruise on into the second round with an impressive 77-58 win.

This was all without their best shot blocker in John Henson who was out with a sore wrist. He is expected to be back by the next game.

Tyler Zeller for UNC was far and away the most impressive player on the court. He had 17 points, 15 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 assists, and 1 steal.

However, three other Tar Heels also scored double digits. Harrison Barnes, James McAdoo, and Kendall Marshall. It was an all around impressive game for the Tar Heels and they look ready to make a run in this NCAA tournament.

Their next game is against Creighton in the round of 32.
