Recruiting News: Shabazz Muhammad Chooses UCLA

facebooktwitterreddit

It’s a big day in the world of college basketball recruiting, and one of the top two players in the 2012 class, Shabazz Muhammad, has ended all speculation as to where he will attend school.

Muhammad just announced via the ESPNU signing day special that he will be a member of the UCLA Bruins next season.

Kentucky and Duke were also finalists to land Muhammad.

This is fantastic news for head coach Ben Howland considering the struggles that the program faced this past season both on and off the court.

The 6’6″ small forward will without question step right in and be a difference maker for the Bruins.

Howland has already landed a top five player in Kyle Anderson as well and this team will once again be a force in the Pac-12 and on the national stage next year.

And given that Sean Miller and Arizona arguably have the top class in the nation at this point, Pac-12 basketball is officially back with this huge commitment for the Bruins.
