2016 small forward standout Tyus Battle is one of the top prospects in the class, and he is unofficially visiting the Northwestern Wildcats this weekend with Gill St. Bernard’s teammate and current Wildcats commit Jared Sina. A likely five-star recruit, Battle already has six offers under his belt.

The Edison, New Jersey standout is a terrific scorer who has good handles and a tremendous amount of upside in the other facets of the game. Battle has offers from Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Miami, Seton Hall, Rhode Island, and Rutgers. The Cincinnati Bearcats have also showed interest, and the 6’5″, 175 pound SF has tremendous length and athleticism.

Even though it’s early, it isn’t hard to tell that Tyus Battle is one of the top prospects in the country and will be rated a five-star recruit when the recruiting sites start giving out the stars and first formally evaluate these players. The fact that Northwestern is getting so involved in his recruitment early on speaks to the efforts of the Wildcats program.

Sina, Battle’s teammate who is also visiting the program, is a high-end three-star commit in the 2013 class for the Wildcats and is one of the top 125 recruits in the country. One of the top 30 point guards in the class, Sina has terrific handles and is rated by most recruiting sites as one of the top five prospects in the state of New Jersey. Sina is a natural leader at the point guard position and is a a great scoring PG with an uncanny amount of on-court awareness and intelligence.
