Throwback Thursday: Ali Farokhmanesh’s dagger vs. Kansas

There’s really no rhyme or reason for the content of this post today, other than we love a good upset. When Ali Farokhmanesh pulled up for a three with 38 seconds remaining in a one-point game, curses were likely be shouting his way.

Instead of an all-time boneheaded play, we have an all-time historic shot.

Kansas had to foul. Northern Iowa could have dribbled out some clock. Make their free throws and they win the game. It was a simple strategy. They were on the homestretch.

But if they did that, then we don’t know the name Farkhmanesh.
