Thon Maker has decided to attend a Division I school after briefly considering going overseas to play as a professional.

Looks like Thon Maker is going to stay in North America. After weighing his options of playing overseas for a year before trying out for the NBA, Maker has decided to play in the NCAA instead, cutting his list of potential landing spots to four schools.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, Thon Maker’s guardian has stated that the Indiana Hoosiers and Arizona State Sun Devils have been in constant contact with the family, making them the early frontrunners to obtain the services of the 7’0” prospect. The Kentucky Wildcats and Kansas Jayhawks are also in the running to get the five-star recruit.

Thon Maker has been one of the most intriguing prospects that have turned up in the recruiting scene in some time. His lanky 7’0” frame allows him to play in the post, but he is more comfortable working from the perimeter where he possesses a consistent shooting stroke and unexpected ball handling ability for his size.

It is likely that Maker will join whatever team he chooses during the second semester of the 2015-16 academic year, but with the amount of talent that he possesses and the fact that he will be immediately eligible to play, whatever program gets him will just be glad he is a part of the team. That being said, each team has different selling points that read like a modern dowry offering, so let’s dive into what these four teams can offer Maker to convince him to enroll at their university.
