This past weekend resulted in many changes in the bracketology projected field. Which teams moved the most and where does everyone stand now?

Welcome back to Bracketology! I know it has not been all that long since my last update (Friday) but we are now far enough along in the season where it is reasonable to run bracketology as a bi-weekly piece. And considering how quickly resumes change in the world of college hoops, there can be plenty of shifts in just a couple of days. This is especially true when you consider how incredibly action-packed College Basketball Saturday really is.

Over the course of the past few days, several teams were able to secure big-time wins while others continued their recent slides. At the moment, it seems as though every win moves a team up multiple spots on the projected S-Curve due to the fact that so many bubble teams are closely packed together. Because of this, opinions definitely vary on the final eight or so teams in the tournament and where they belong. Thankfully, though, there is still plenty of time left for teams to solidify their positions in the field with their play on the court.

There are several teams with work left to do over the next month and a half in order to secure an at-large bid and that is what makes the regular season so incredibly enjoyable. Each game matters and can play a big role down the road. Even if bubble teams are not national title contenders, making the NCAA Tournament is a very big deal for every team in the country.

Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into this edition of my bracketology projected field. (Note: As always, I attempt to construct my projected fields with as much objectivity as possible. My first scrub through my S-Curve for every piece is done using blind resumes in order to help accomplish this. My goal with bracketology is to predict how the committee would select/seed teams if the tournament started right now and therefore I leave out my own opinions on certain teams.)

This projected field is updated based on the results through Monday, Jan. 28.
