Fascinating Article on Bruce Pearl’s Ex-Assistant Coaches at Tennessee

facebooktwitterreddit

With college football season in full swing, admittedly, there hasn’t been a ton of talk surrounding the upcoming college basketball season just yet.

Except of course when we’re talking about the potential conference expansion effects on the game.

So it was refreshing to see this awesome article written by CBSSports.com’s Gary Parrish, who went a little deeper with one particular story that garnered a lot of tension at the end of last season.

The Bruce Pearl firing at Tennessee.

Parrish decided to look in-depth at what Pearl’s former Tennessee assistants were doing now. It really is a fascinating, but sad, perspective on what happens to assistants in situations such as the one Pearl put himself in while at Tennessee.

I won’t spoil any of the more detailed parts of it, but needless to say, these coaches are living a much different lifestyle now.

This really is one of those stories that you have to read for yourself, because it sort of makes you look at the coaching business in somewhat of a different way. Specifically when it comes to situations such as this one.

So be sure to click the link above and check out this great piece. Huge props to Parrish for this fantastic story.
