Wayne Blackshear Will Play For Louisville This Season
By Blake Lovell
The Louisville Cardinals are to be a preseason Top 10 team in most people’s eyes heading into the season (Jamal and I have them at #10 in our preseason Top 25).
One man that is expected to help Louisville achieve that ranking is freshman guard Wayne Blackshear, although there was some uncertainty as to whether he would actually get to play this season.
Rick Pitino can breathe easy now though, as Blackshear has been cleared by the NCAA to play for the Cardinals this year.
This makes the Cardinals even deeper in the backcourt, which is a good problem to have given that they lost Preston Knowles.
Blackshear knows how to score and will definitely be a nice asset for a Louisville team that expects to compete with UConn, Syracuse, and Pittsburgh for a Big East crown this season.
