That’s kind of an odd question, I know. Normally not too many people are worried about who the second ranked team is.
But with the Syracuse Orange still unbeaten, and everyone else that had occupied the top spot recently having lost a game or two, it only makes sense that Jim Boeheim‘s squad will be the number one team in the land this week.
As for who comes after that, well, that’s a subject for debate.
Is it last week’s number one, Kentucky, who lost on a three at the buzzer against the still-undefeated Indiana Hoosiers? Is it Ohio State, who lost their first game of the season at Kansas…..but didn’t have Jared Sullinger available for that game?
Those two teams clearly have the strongest cases for that second spot. Sure, you could maybe throw North Carolina or UConn into the mix as well.
We’ll have our Busting Brackets Power 32 up this afternoon, and you’ll see who we think should take that second spot in the rankings.
What do you think? Would you vote Kentucky, Ohio State, or someone else at number two this week?
