Today’s Games To Watch – Quickie Previews/Predictions

Here’s a look at today’s games to watch:

#10 Indiana 14-1 (B10: 2-1) at Penn State 9-7 (B10: 1-2) – 12PM EST, BTN

The Nittany Lions are coming off a huge win versus Purdue. It will be tough for them to continue their momentum versus the Hoosiers, even if they are away from Assembly Hall.

Prediction: Indiana 74, Penn State 70

DePaul 10-4 (BE: 1-1) at Villanova 7-8 (BE: 0-3) – 12PM EST, ESPN3

Oliver Purnell & co. got at big win over struggling Pittsburgh a few days. Today, they get a chance at another struggling team. Nova will be desperate, seeking their first league win in four tries.

Prediction: Villanova 78, DePaul 73

#18 Wisconsin 12-4 (B10: 1-2) at #19 Michigan 11-3 (B10: 2-1) – 130PM EST, CBS

The Badgers need this one, having looked vulnerable of late. Michigan has been perfect at home.

Prediction: Michigan 67, Wisconsin 62

Butler 8-7 (Hor: 3-1) at Detroit 5-10 (Hor: 1-4) – 4PM EST, ESPN3

All Horizon league games are tough, Butler needs to win almost all of them to have any at-large prospects and Detroit has improved a bit since early in the season.

Prediction: Butler 69, Detroit 63

#23 Purdue 12-4 (B10: 2-1) at Minnesota 12-4 (B10: 0-3) – 6PM EST, BTN

The Boilermakers are coming off a disturbing blowout loss at Penn State. Minnesota just needs a league win. This will be a typical Big Ten grind-it-out affair.

Prediction: Minnesota 64, Purdue 61

Maryland 10-3 (ACC: 0-0) at North Carolina State 11-4 (ACC: 0-0) – 6PM EST, ESPNU

ACC opener for two squads that figure to battle for at-large bids. A win would be a great start for either.

Prediction: Maryland 66, NC St 64

California 12-4 (P12: 2-1) at Oregon 11-4 (P12: 2-1) – 730PM EST

Typical Pac 12 match-up where you have no idea what’s going to happen and it may or may not have NCAA Tournament ramifications.

Predictions: Oregon 76, California 72

VCU 11-4 (CAA: 2-1) at Drexel 9-5 (CAA: 1-2) – 8PM EST 

VCU is coming off a tough loss to Georgia State. For the month prior, the Rams had looked like an NCAA Tournament caliber team. Drexel is more than formidable.

Prediction: VCU 73, Drexel 68
