Manhattan’s Three-Pointer at the Buzzer To Beat Iona (Video)

When I came across this on Jeff Eisenberg‘s blog, The Dagger, it kind of caught me off guard. Why? Because Iona lost a conference game.

Iona is one of the better mid-major teams in college basketball this season, which we all expected to be the case when MoMo Jones was cleared to play for them several months ago.

But last night the Gaels dropped a MAAC game at home to Manhattan.

Of course, it wasn’t as easy as that though. With the game tied at 72 and Manhattan needing a quick shot for the win, well, they got it:

Iona gets another tough test on Sunday when they take on Loyola (MD), who currently sits at second in the MAAC at 4-1 in the conference.
