Oklahoma State Upsets #2 Missouri
By Blake Lovell
Yesterday, our daily poll discussed Top 15 road teams. More specifically, the poll discussed which road team was most likely to fall.
My choice was sixth-ranked Duke visiting Maryland. But my choice should have been the second-ranked Missouri Tigers at Oklahoma State.
LeBryan Nash had a huge 27-point outburst to give the Cowboys the home victory over Missouri, which gave Travis Ford‘s team their 10th win of the season.
It’s hard to believe that the team we saw last night only has 10 wins, but that’s where they stand. Even though they haven’t been all that consistent, they did what they had to do to score their biggest win of the year thus far. Clearly, if they can play like that on a regular basis, they’re going to win a lot more games in the Big 12.
Missouri simply couldn’t hit anything from behind the arc, shooting a measly 4 of 19 from three. They shot 40% from the field as compared to nearly 60% shooting for Oklahoma State.
Not exactly the perfect formula when you go on the road.
The Tigers should be able to bounce back on Saturday when they head to Texas Tech, while OK State visits Texas A&M.
