Towson Snaps 41-Game Losing Streak

In case you missed it on Saturday, a long streak ended in the world of college basketball, the only people not rooting for it to end were probably the players and fans of UNC-Wilmington.
Towson, who had lost a Division I record 41 straight games entering Saturday’s matchup, was finally able to put the streak to rest by knocking off the Seahawks by five.
It’s great that this is finally over, because no team deserves to have that kind of run in the wrong direction.
Only four of Towson’s games this year have been decided by single digits, and when you’re 1-22, that isn’t the most impressive statistic to stay the least.
But you have to commend the players and coaches for finding a way to battle through all the adversity and finally chalk one up in the win column.
While one streak was snapped, another one could be beginning. No, I’m not talking about another 41-game losing streak. But instead, there could be a winning streak in the forecast for the Tigers, as their next game is a visit to Hofstra, who also sits at 1-10 in the CAA.
