Antoine Young’s Game-Winner Leads Creighton Over Long Beach State (Video)

It was a great day of games yesterday in the 2012 edition of BracketBusters, and it was capped off by a thriller in Omaha between Creighton and Long Beach State.

Dan Monson‘s Long Beach State team desperately needed to pick up a win on the road and as the second half progressed, it looked like they had an excellent opportunity to do that after being in the lead pretty much the entire game.

But Doug McDermott and Antoine Young helped Creighton battle back, and the Blue Jays had the ball with a chance to win it on the final possession.

Even though McDermott finished with 36, it was Young who took the final shot for Creighton:

This was a huge win for Creighton since they’ve been sliding a little bit as of late. For Long Beach State, it was a good outing but another close loss on the road. Still though, both teams should find themselves in the NCAA tournament come March.

And both are teams that could give power conference teams fits as the tournament progresses.
