CBS Announces Broadcast Teams For 2012 NCAA Tournament

CBS officially released the teams that will make up their 2012 NCAA tournament coverage yesterday, and there aren’t many surprises to this year’s coverage.

Here’s the full release from CBS.

Jim Nantz, Clark Kellogg, and Steve Kerr will once again be the team for the Final Four in New Orleans.

Here are the eight broadcast crews that will call the games this year:

*The Nantz/Kellogg, Albert/Kerr, Lundquist/Raftery, and Harlan/Elmore/Miller crews will call regional action

  • Jim Nantz and Clark Kellogg
  • Marv Albert and Steve Kerr
  • Verne Lundquist and Bill Raftery
  • Kevin Harlan, Len Elmore, and Reggie Miller
  • Ian Eagle and Jim Spanarkel
  • Brian Anderson and Dan Bonner
  • Tim Brando and Mike Gminski
  • Spero Dedes and Bob Wenzel

As is usually the case year in and year out, I really have no problems with any of these teams. In terms of analysts, Bill Raftery has always been my personal favorite, so I’ve got a bit of a bias towards the Lundquist/Raftery crew.

Of course, the glaring omission this year is Gus Johnson, who no longer works for CBS.

Still though, these broadcast teams are solid as usual, and these guys will do a great job to bring out the excitement of March Madness. Unfortunately though, there will be none of this:
