South Dakota State’s rally came up just short in the end as the third-seeded Baylor Bears advanced to the third round of the 2012 NCAA tournament with a 68-60 win.

The Jackrabbits started off hot with an 8-0 run to begin the game, but Baylor managed to battle back and take control to end the first half.

The question heading into the tournament concerning Baylor was whether they would be able to play consistent basketball in order to make a run.

Well, there were times tonight where they were clicking on all cylinders and their scary assortment of talent showed.

This is a team poised to make a Final Four, but they will next have to focus their attention on the winner of tonight’s 6/11 matchup between UNLV and Colorado.
