By Blake Lovell
The eighth-seeded Kansas State Wildcats have advanced in the 2012 NCAA tournament by knocking off Southern Miss, 70-64.
Rodney MacGruder had a huge game for Frank Martin‘s squad, scoring 30 points on 11 of 16 shooting.
Kansas State will face the winner of one-seed Syracuse and 16-seed UNC-Asheville in the third round (which is much closer than many expected in the second half).
