NCAA Tournament 2012: Cincinnati Holds Off Texas
By Blake Lovell
The Texas Longhorns made a strong rally after being down big to Cincinnati, but it came up short as the Bearcats held on for the 65-59 victory in Nashville.
Yancy Gates led the way for the Bearcats with a double-double, scoring 15 points and adding 10 boards on the day.
But it was really all about balance for Mick Cronin‘s team, with all five starters scoring in that 8-15 range for the game.
Cincinnati will now sit and wait on the winner of the 3/14 matchup between the ACC tournament champions, Florida State, and the A-10 tournament champions, St. Bonaventure.
