Recruiting News: Nerlens Noel Will Play For Kentucky
By Blake Lovell
The top-ranked player in the 2012 recruiting class, Nerlens Noel, has announced where he will go to school.
Noel will play for John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats next season after revealing his decision via the letters “UK” shaved into the back of his hair on the ESPNU signing day special.
The Wildcats will likely be losing a lot of talent to the NBA Draft, but with this decision by Noel, they will still have the pieces in place to defend their championship next season.
The 2012 class that Calipari has compiled is in most people’s eyes the most talented in the nation, which should come as no surprise given what he’s been able to do during his tenure at the school.
Kentucky didn’t land Shabazz Muhammad (who chose UCLA earlier in the evening) but Wildcat fans don’t have to worry about that now.
They’ve landed the best player and big man in this year’s recruiting class and that’s enough to heal the wound of not getting Muhammad.
Ladies and gentlemen, Calipari does it yet again.
