Busting Brackets

Oregon State Receives Verbal Commitment From Class Of 2014 Recruit Isaiah Manderson

Oregon State received a new verbal commitment today from Georgia-native Center Isaiah Manderson. Standing at 6ft 10in and 250 pounds, Manderson has been highly praised for being a traditional, legit big man; grabbing boards, blocking shots, and playing down the low block. An interesting thing about his post game is how smooth his pivots are and the footwork he has for such a young athlete. Wouldn’t want to forget to mention that Manderson does all these things at high rates of efficiency. What helps him stand out from the pack is his motor and hustle when running down the floor, a quality noted by most scouts that have seen him perform.

During his junior year last year, he averaged about 12.1 PPG, 9.4 RPG, and a staggering 2 BPG in 20 games played. Luckily, Manderson happened to be attending the NBPA Top 100 camp a few weeks ago, so I’m going to leave a highlight video of him at that event to give you a  better perspective of his game. This is what he could bring to the table for the Beavers in a couple of years:
