There is a new college basketball double header this coming season. It will be held in Las Vegas on December 21st at the MGM hotel. A new three year contract has been inked by the hotel to host a double header at their arena, which also hosts the Pac 12 tournament.

This year’s double header will feature Marquette playing against New Mexico and Oklahoma State taking on Colorado. While these are not star studded teams, the location and size of the event should draw some excitement. Chances are that the games should sell out, or at least come close, which is a great experience for these young players who get the professional treatment. A good draw will also benefit cancer research as part of the profits will be going towards the coaches vs cancer charity.

The games will be televised by ESPN on ESPNU and ESPN2.
