2014 Recruit Joseph Cuts List to Three

facebooktwitterreddit

Yesterday, according to ESPN (insider article), 2014 recruit Kaleb Joseph cut his list of schools down to three. The 51st ranked ranked point guard has his final three as Providence, Syracuse and West Virginia.

While he is not fully polished as a playmaker at the moment, what Joseph does provide is insane athleticism from the point guard spot. Joseph is constantly looking to attack the rim and has an incredibly high motor. He is also a hard worker who does not take days or plays off and looks to get better every single time he takes the court.

The New Hampshire native has not really indicated whether he has a favorite out of the three contenders and has held his cards fairly tightly. Providence would be the local choice for him and the Friars have been pursuing him with a lot of effort. Their coaching staff has visited him a few times and they have made a hard pitch to him.

As the game of basketball moves along, it seems like having a dynamic point guard at the helm of yor team is becoming more and more important. This is true of both the NBA and the NCAA game. Getting a player like Joseph who might still be a little raw but provides a great amount of explosiveness and athleticism, would be a great win for any school looking to upgrade their point guard situation.

There has been no timetable for Joseph’s final decision. Although it could be fair to guess that he will probably decide sooner rather than later because he is already cutting his list down. If Joseph was planning on waiting it out a little, odds are he would keep a bigger list of possible landing spots.
