6ft-8in Power Forward Obi Enechionyia has verbally committed to Temple University, as of reported and confirmed on September 8. This tall and long big man has had a bit of a following on him, most notable for his time in the AAU basketball team Team Takeover. The University of Maryland was in hot pursuit of this prospect, all because a teammate of Enechionyia on Team Takeover, Dion Wiley, had committed to Maryland. Miami, Georgia Tech, Loyola Marymount, and a handful of other schools were also in the mix for Enechionyia. Obi Enechionyia is ranked 7th in the state of Virginia, and as the 35th best Power Forward in the nation, along with a 4-star recruit rating, courtesy of ESPN. The Temple Owls just received a player who has the potential to become something special, through some development and experience. His intangibles are pretty solid for a young PF, and his offensive skillset is fundamentally sound, but this new Owl has a long way to go before he can start making an impact at the college level.
