Many people are assuming the Wisconsin Badgers are playing some form of uptempo basketball this season. If this were true, however, Armageddon would surely be looming or would have already happened. I mean, Bo Ryan isn’t exactly known for his love of baskets in a hurry. Still — while the Badgers are ranked in the 300s as far as tempo goes — they are scoring a lot more points than usual (77 ppg). They also have a tough test ahead of them when they face the Virginia Cavaliers.

Virginia isn’t as polished as Wisconsin, nor do they have as high expectations as them, but it hasn’t stopped the ACC program from having a terrific start to their season. Which not only makes this game more interesting, but the ACC as a league deeper and even tougher for all eleventy-billion programs who currently call it home.

Should I Watch?

Yes and yes. Wisconsin is an entertaining team this year. Not to mention the fact that Virginia is a quality team in its own right. This year feels different than others as well. This is yet another game in the non-conference schedule that has some major appeal to it. Considering the only other “real” 7 p.m. game (as far as ranked teams goes) is Maryland vs Ohio Sate, I think you should choose this one.

But hey, to each their own.
