Nothing bothers me more than hyperbolic speak, narratives being pushed or fake starts to Ghostbusters 3 being filmed. That’s why hearing some (clearly uneducated) people calling this a “must go deep in NCAA Tournament” year for Josh Pastner a person who would like to kick those people right in their gobblers. I mean, Pastner is one of the best young coaches in the entire nation. If I were starting a college university tomorrow two things would happen. First, I would immediately name the school, The Club State Pool Cleaners. Secondly, factoring in everything I could, I would make Pastner my basketball program’s head coach.
So, yeah. I clearly like him. Ten years from now, when Al Pacino’s stunt double (Rick Pitino) is retired, Coach K ascends to heaven and John Calipari finally realizes his dream and coaches an AAU team, Pastner will be the best coach in the country. I’ll be your unborn children on it. Not mine, though. I like them.
