The Colorado Buffaloes defeated Andrew Wiggins and the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday to throw themselves into the top 25. Despite allowing the Jayhawks to erase a nine point lead, the Buffaloes managed to leave their home court with a victory after guard Askia Booker hit a 30-footer to give them the 75-72 win.

Coach Tad Boyle hopes that his team can keep the momentum going and pick up their tenth consecutive victory for the first time in 52 years. Colorado has been 9-0 since losing their season opener against the Baylor Bears.

Elon is on a solid three-game winning streak of their own after their victory over VMI on December 3. The Phoenix wrapped up last season with a record of 21-12 and returned the top six scorers on the team, including their leading scorer, Tanner Samson.

Should you be watching?

In my opinion, this game is worth watching simply due to Colorado’s intriguing factor. The Buffaloes are a team that has shown the ability to compete with the elite programs in college hoops despite not being recognized for it. Tad Boyle has done an incredible job with his squad. Colorado competes on every possession at both ends of the floor. More than likely, this game will be a blowout, and Colorado’s win streak will be extended while Elon’s comes to an end.

Colorado will always be fun to watch, regardless of their opponent.
