The holidays are officially here. Well, they were already here (depending on what variety of holiday you celebrate), but the Christmas-apocalypse is real. That also means that we are forced to listen to every pro and college basketball team do their best to ruin all holiday jingles as we know it.
However, some folks can actually carry a decent tune. Which is certainly the case with Marquette Golden Eagles player, Chris Otule.
(H/T Rob Dauster and CBT for bringing this to the world’s attention)
I don’t know a lot about music, reality shows or being successful, but I think it is pretty safe to say Chris Otule is the new front-runner to be America’s Next Top Model/Idol/Icon or whatever is all the rage with you kids these days.
Also worth pointing out, the confidence in which the other Marquette players belt out the tune. It is like they knew Otule’s great vocals would mask their horrendous attempts at being the 2013 version of Bing Crosby. I mean, Bing Crosby was a real thing, right?
Thankfully, when the holiday season is over so will be these “videos” of players “signing”, all in an attempt to make this time of the year more special.
Eh, I kid. I’m no scrooge. Even when — especially when, in fact — these things are horrible, they bring a smile to faces from coast to coast. Maybe, however, damaging a few eardrums along the way.
