Coaches vs Cancer is just another fine example of sports doing it right. It’s also a time when traditional teams might abandon their usual colors in favor of sporting a little pink. And really, who’s against wearing some pink to help raise money and get some more cancer awareness?
That is why you shouldn’t be bothered by what the Marquette Golden Eagles will be sporting on Saturday in their game against the Villanova Wildcats.
Sadly, Buzz Williams will only be wearing some pink kicks as well as some adult-like clothing. It would be cool to see him attempt to pull off a full pink outfit (does anyone call them outfits), though. Really, Williams joins a long line of Big East Conference coaches who dress all kinds of snazzy. That list, just in case you were wondering, includes Jay Wright, Steve Lavin and the newly thing but always dashing Ed Cooley, among others.
Regardless if you like the look or whatever this is for truly a great cause. If interested in knowing more or possibly finding a way to get involved you can head to the Coaches vs Cancer website.
