This is a story that has very little to do with wins, losses, ranking in a conference or college basketball in general. What it does have to do withn is Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach, Tim Miles, being all that and a bag of chips — and salsa, dip or anything that means he is great.
A big Nebraska fan approached Miles on Twitter about helping him get his girl to marry him. Miles did what most of the college basketball community would not. He helped. Like a lot. In fact, we can probably credit him with this kid getting anything and they best be naming their future kids Tim Miles.
Okay. Me trying to explain it doesn’t do justice. Just watch what developed below (H/T to CBT for bringing this to our attention)
@CoachMiles I'm proposing to my girlfriend soon and she's a huge fan of yours (finding out she followed you on twitter sealed the deal) 1/2

@CoachMiles This is an odd request but would you make a short video to help me pop the question? Only like 20-30 seconds. #BeatOSU 2/2

Of course Miles does this next.
@CoachMiles Theresa said 'Yes'! Thank you again for helping me get the commitment from a recruit I've been after for a long time! -Joe

Now, who gets blamed if this marriage does not work out? Better not be Tim Miles.
