The headline title of this post might be a little hyperbolic, but it is definitely closer to the truth than it is of just some ho-hum type of dunk. Even with all the buildup, though, you won’t believe what Murray State Racers guard, T.J. Sapp, did to an opponent unless you see it for yourself. So, um, take a looks.
That was swell, wasn’t it?
Sadly for Murray State the amazing dunk was not enough, as they lost to Belmont 99 to 96.
Sapp is a former Clemson player. Meaning he was once playing in the almighty ACC, but took his high-flying act to Murray State. Which is a good thing for all parties, really. Sapp got very little playing time with the Tigers and has not only more than doubled his time on the court, but has nearly quadrupled his production.
On the season, T.J. Sapp is averaging just a shade under 15 points per game and is a key reason why the Racers have an 8-2 record in the Ohio Valley Conference. Their overall record is a humbling 13-9, however.
Regardless, this dunk would have not happened if fate didn’t step in and make Sapp a Racer. Which is a pretty neat thing onto itself.
