You would think the West Virginia Mountaineers beating the ever-living hell out of Iowa State would be the storyline worth talking about today, but no. Instead we are going to have to discuss West Virginia guard, Eron Harris, thinking he was either Lex Luger or that a WWE talent scout was in the crowd and wanted to see him drop a bionic elbow.
Confused?
If West Virginia had a UFC team or were looking to reboot the Best of the Best franchise, Eron Harris would certainly be the star. I mean he literally did some form of bionic elbow, superpunch thingamabob.
All kidding aside, that could have been far worse than it turned out to be.
Understandably the referees in this one hurled Harris from the game for his attempts at making a Iowa State player’s face lunch meat.
It should be noted, though, that Iowa State is not free and clear of on the court tomfoolery. Dustin Hogue kicked Kevin Noreen in the stomach. In a move that we could only assume he was using to set up his finishing maneuver, the DDT.
The aftermath of all of this will be interesting. West Virgina gets a huge win, but will there be more punishment to be handed down to Eron Harris? Possibly getting sent to NXT maybe?
Bob Huggins would make the perfect pro wrestling manager. Just a by the way…..
