Last week John Calipari told us that this Kentucky Wildcats team is the most scrutinized team in the history of sports. While that statement in itself might have been a slight touch of hyperbole, it does probably feel that way to the people involved. Maybe no player more than the often criticized, but seemingly never praised, Willie Cauley-Stein

For those unaware of his exploits, Cauley-Stein is a big who encompasses the athletic prowess of an athletic guard or something. What I am trying to say is that Willie Cauley-Stein can get up and down, move around and do things with his body that are normally reserved for smaller guys. He is an athletic marvel.

Still, folks trash him for not being more. To that, though, I say…

That was the best two points Cauley-Stein would score in Kentucky’s win over Auburn. To be fair to his other points, however, he only ended up with a total of five points in 20 minutes of action.

Now let’s just start leaving this Willie Cauley-Stein fella alone. If he isn’t going to live up to your expectations, but do things like this every so often, we should take it.

With the win Kentucky improves to 19-5 and 9-2 in the SEC.
