There was a time this season, albeit a brief one, when people started to question the merits of Duke Blue Devils wonderkid, Jabari Parker. It was at some point after his incredible start, but before he unleashed another barrage of great games. Honestly, it was just a four game stretch which only included two actual bad games.
But it makes one wonder. Where are all the people who said Parker hit the freshman wall, that he wasn’t that good and his game is limited, now?
Luckily for us, Busting Brackets received an exclusive picture via Fictitiousville, USA. It was sent to us by a person who goes by the name Marty Jannetty, for whatever that is worth.
Below are all the “experts”, fans and the whomevers that questioned Jabari Parker as the real deal. And no, The Iron Sheik isn’t one of them. He knows Parker is the real, Bubba.
hehe?
That is exactly how imagine the people who try to judge a player’s value by just a few games, all while ignoring the larger sample size of greatness that came before it.
Jabari Parker is averaging just a shade under 20 ppg on the season. He has also scored over 20 points in each of the last seven games.
But remember the wackos, haters and doubters from before? They are eerily silent.
Listen. I am not a fan of Duke or have anything emotionally invested into Jabari Parker. I just wanted to highlight (in paint form, I guess) how much we overreact to things. The Parker criticisms being one of them.
Must be nice to second guess people during (a really short and small) tough stretch and not be accountable for uneducated comments.
