Death. Taxes. John Calipari recruiting tippy-top recruits to come play for the Kentucky Wildcats. Those are things that are as certain as I am that curb-stomping a homeless person is actually more counterproductive than it is helpful (took me 345 curb-stomp attempts to figure that out).
That’s why it should come to the shock of no one (except the homeless people I have curb-stomped as they have very little brain function) that Kentucky landed its first 2015 recruit and, per the usual, he is a five-star wonderkid. His name? I’m glad you asked. It is Charles Matthews.
Matthews is ranked as the 11th best prospect in the 2015 class by Rivals. Which means nothing, really, other than people projecting him to be all sorts of awesome and whatnot.
What will Charles Matthews add to the Kentucky Wildcats when he joins the program? The heck to the hell if I know. I am not a person who hugely invests in gauging a player’s possible college success by high school or AAU tape. With that being said, though, scouting service websites are pretty good with this type of thing and are right more often than they are wrong. I guess in a roundabout way I am admitting that this is probably a big deal.
Also, don’t curb-stomp homeless people. It is wrong and your shoes will be ruined.
