4)  Cousins’s Buzzer Beater-UK Beats MSU in Overtime in 2010

The 2010 Kentucky team was the first team in the John Calipari era and featured the stellar tandem of John Wall and Demarcus Cousins.  Those two helped breathe new life into the Kentucky program and one way they did this was by winning the 2010 SEC Tournament title.

It wouldn’t be an easy task, however, as Kentucky had to face off against a Mississippi State team that they had beaten by five in overtime in Starkville earlier that year.  This time, the Bulldogs came ready to play and held their own against the Wildcats, eventually pulling out to a three point lead with 4.9 seconds to go.

The Bulldogs then fouled Eric Bledsoe, who made his first free throw and purposely missed his second.  Demarcus Cousins was able to get a tip-in as time expired to send the game into overtime where Kentucky would ultimately prevail, 75-74.
