As March Madness rolls along, it seems like a new conference tournament is starting every single day.  Later tonight, the MAAC tournament begins and for those not familiar with MAAC teams, that wasn’t a typo.  The Mid-American Conference Tournament starts on March 10th.

This year’s MAAC Tournament features many of the nation’s top mid major teams, from this year’s one seed and last year’s champion Iona, to Niagara, the home of Antoine Mason, one of the nation’s top scorers.  This year’s tournament is certain to be full of very close match-ups and rigorous competition, seeing as no one team really ran away with the regular season title.  Iona may have won 17 conference games and the regular season title, but Manhattan, Quinnipiac, and Canisius all had quality seasons and had 15, 14, and 14 conference wins, respectively.
