Talk about getting your heart ripped from your throat, shoved down your mouth and forced to watch it be regurgitated (magically, I suppose). That’s right. I am talking about the Indiana Hoosiers. The NCAA Tournament snubbed Indiana Hoosiers. And now, because life is a mean, fickle brat, the NIT snubbed Indiana Hoosiers.

It hasn’t been the greatest of seasons for Indiana, but failing to make the NIT is a deathblow to Tom Crean. Rumors have already surfaced that boosters wanted to buy out his contract and hire Mike Woodson.

If Mike Woodson is anyone’s “better option”, you can tell just how unhappy some Indiana alum are with Crean’s abilities. Now missing the NIT makes matters even more pressing in the Tom Crean job security department.

What does this all mean? Would Indiana take an invite to a third or fourth string postseason tournament? Is this the end of the Tom Crean era? The heck if I know.

Here is the thing. Everyone is allowed to have a down year. Even a coach who is in charge of the Hooisers. With that being said, I am not a booster, so I have very little pull. Sorry, Tom. Indiana NIT snub is no good for your health (or good grammar).
