BYU Cougars

Record: (23-11, 13-5 WCC)

RPI: 32

BPI: 42

Conference: WCC

How They Qualified: At-large

The BYU Cougars are a pretty confusing team. I mean any team that beats the amount of quality opponents they have, but have also lost to a slew of just atrocious teams as well, will make someone confused.

Unless you’re a fan of this program, however, none of that should concern you. What you need to be thinking is about the quality entertainment BYU provides. The Cougars are third in the nation in scoring (84.2 ppg) and rank in the top-ten in every other major offensive statistical category.

So yeah, BYU gets buckets.

What You Need to Know

Leading Scorer: Tyler Haws (23.4 ppg)

Leading Rebounder: Kyle Collinsworth (8.1 rpg)

Leading Passer:  Kyle Collinsworth (4.6 apg)

Bad Losses: Pepperdine, LMU, Pacific, Portland

Good Wins: Stanford, Texas, Gonzaga

What to Expect

BYU’s opener against Oregon feels like a battle of teams that you have no idea which version of each will show up. With that being said, though, we can probably expect to see a lot of points.

Tyler Haws is obviously a player to keep a keen eye on, as he is the main bucket-maker for the Cougars. He is also as entertaining to watch as a clown is too making kids scared.

Regardless, the BYU Cougars are going dancing in the NCAA Tournament!
