The SMU Mustangs are still on their never-ending quest for NIT glory. Sure is neat and all, but I am sure they wish the Selection Committee knew that they were capable of doing such things or, you know, didn’t hold the AAC’s “abilities” against them. Which probably would have resulted in SMU getting an at-large birth in the Big Dance from these pesky committee members.

Now, though, they have to face Cal in a battle to see who plays in the NIT final. Like, the team that is playing for the right to be considered the 69th best team in the country or something.
