Jabari Parker could turn pro if he wanted to. He could also stay in college and play for the Duke Blue Devils. Really, like the great Bobby Brown always said, it is his prerogative. Although, at this juncture it would be nice to know which way he is leaning. Especially if you’re a Duke fan.
Well, according to Sixers beat writer Tom Moore, Parker is at least very seriously considering returning to college and has even applied for housing for next year.
Now, that doesn’t mean Jabari Parker is staying. It just means that he is prepping for a return in case he decides that is what he wants to do. You know, having all his ducks lined up before he actually makes a decision.
Parker is a projected top-three pick in this year’s NBA Draft. However, most experts think if he were to return that his draft stock would not plummet.
So, really, Parker’s decision is likely to based on his desire to start his NBA career now or attempt to enjoy one more year at Duke. Nevertheless, it is a decision that will have ramifications in both the college and NBA worlds.
