Do you associate the Bradley Braves with recruiting trail dominance? If you do, well, you probably also think that Marty Jannetty is the greatest tag team wrestler in the history of history. Wait, what is that you say? He is? Well, that would explain Bradley landing a commitment from top 100 recruit, Josh Cunningham.
Rivals has Josh Cunningham ranked as a four-star, 88th best overall, prospect.
A well-built 6’7″, Cunningham had a slew of schools to choose from. Some of the offers were from more prestigious programs like Creighton, DePaul (eh, they’re not really prestigious), Indiana, Iowa State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, Oklahoma, South Carolina and St. John’s.
So, um, yeah. Josh Cunningham picking Bradley over all of them is like the time HBK hurled Marty through the Barber Shop window. Just shocking.
Bradley can certainly use Cunningham’s help, too. Last season saw the Braves finish their campaign with a lackluster 12-20 overall record, and going 7-11 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
