The Florida Gators are one of the best programs in the entire country. So, it comes as no surprise that they tend to do pretty well on the good ole recruiting trail. I mean, the proof is in the pudding or something. The pudding, being here, the landing of 2015 prized recruit, KeVaughn Allen.
This makes the second 2015 commit for Florida.
Depending on your preferred recruiting service website, Allen is a top-60 ranked recruit, while generally regarded as a four-star rated prospect.
The 6’3″ guard hails from North Little Rock, Arkansas and in his junior year of high school averaged 21.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per outing.
KeVaughn Allen parlayed that play and those numbers into being named the state’s Gatorade Player of the Year. So, yeah, Florida looks to have gotten a pretty good player.
If you are not sold on the exploits that happen to be KeVaughn Allen, well, how about a little highlight package, YouTube style.
Florida will have some depth at the guard position for the next few seasons. So Allen will need to either bide his time or outshine the already established Gators for playing time. So, at worst, Allen adds depth to an already deep backcourt — at least in the immediate future.
