The Connecticut Huskies no longer have to worry about those pesky NBA front-office people. That is because UConn has finally gotten their man to stay with the program via a contract extension. So, yes, Kevin Ollie is not going to the NBA — at least for right now.
Reports have Ollie’s salary being bumped up to three-million bones a year. Which is nice, especially considering the fact that other reports had him telling NBA teams he would only take a job there for Steve Kerr like money.
Basically, UConn got Ollie at a great bargain rate.
Despite winning the whole shebang this past season, somehow (magically, even), some college experts want more proof to make Kevin Ollie that worthwhile of a commodity.
Yeah, Goodman. That’s like saying, no disrespect, but I am going to disrespect the ever-living hell out of your right now.
For what it is worth, Ollie has a pretty solid reputation as a recruiter. He is obviously a solid in-game coach as well, or he wouldn’t have won a National Title.
But yeah, let’s see what he does with his guys or something.
Likely something, but Goodman is clearly embracing the debate.
