Kansas State Wildcats release their 2014-15 non-conference schedule

The Kansas State Wildcats are going to be returning a handful of experienced players for the 2014-15 college basketball season. That includes five players who have started at least one game for Bruce Weber last season. Which is going to be pretty important considering the fact Kansas State has released their 2014-15 non-conference schedule and it isn’t easy. The Kansas State schedule was released via a school statement yesterday.

This is the complete 2014-15 Kansas State schedule, non-conference style that is:

  • Friday, Nov. 14 Southern Utah
  • Monday, Nov. 17 UMKC
  • Friday, Nov. 21 at Long Beach State
  • EA Sports Maui Invitational (Lahaina Civic Center, Maui, Hawai’i)
  • Monday, Nov. 24 vs. TBA
  • Tuesday, Nov. 25 vs. TBA
  • Wednesday, Nov. 26 vs. TBA
  • Tuesday, Dec. 2 Nebraska-Omaha
  • Saturday, Dec. 6 at Tennessee (SEC-Big 12 Challenge)
  • Tuesday, Dec. 9 Bradley
  • Sunday, Dec. 14 Savannah State
  • Saturday, Dec. 20 vs. Texas A&M (Wildcat Classic, Sprint Center)
  • Sunday, Dec. 28 Texas Southern
  • Wednesday, Dec. 31 Georgia

Depending on how the in-season tournaments play out, Kansas State could face as many as seven NCAA Tournament teams from last year. Granted, that doesn’t mean all seven are going to be good this year, but it does show that Kansas State was looking to build a pretty tough non-conference schedule to get ready for Big 12 and, hopefully for them, postseason play.
