Mack is already a known commodity. So this is definitely not a stretch by any means. Four NCAA Tournament appearances in five years, two Sweet 16 appearances and a bevy of funny YouTube videos have all helped make Mack as much a household name as he can be.
With Xavier in the Big East Conference, Mack’s exposure will continue to grow even more (assuming the conference does as well).
Mack’s only 44-years-old, too. Time is on his side. Like nearly every other coach on this list, though, the thing to follow concerning his career will be his coaching destinations. Now, Xavier is certainly no mid-major. In fact, they are as good a college basketball program as there can be, but rumors are constantly swirling that Mack might jump to another team for more loot or a chance to elevate his status.
Nevertheless, Mack has everything a program would want in a head coach. Plus, seriously, his YouTube videos are funny. So, um, bonus points.
