Assuming Miami’s Big Three all returns via cashing in on their massive player options, it will leave them with very little cap-space. So little, in fact, that they wouldn’t be able to afford a first-round contract. So, it would make some logical sense to them — if they don’t move from the pick completely — to select a player they could stash overseas for a few years.

Capela would be a great choice for them. Well, that’s provided he has fallen to them in the draft. Some mocks have him going closer to the lottery. There is also a high likelihood that a lot of other teams are going to be in similar cap-space positions, so a run at draft and stash players is probable.

As for Capela, he is a bit of a project. However, he does a lot of things well. None of them great, mind you, but he could end up being a very valuable roleplayer for an NBA team at some point. — Joe
