51. Dallas Mavericks – Vasilije Micic, PG, Serbia

H: 6′ 6″ W: 202 lbs DOB: 01/13/1994

2013-14 Adriatic, Serbia, Eurocamp, Eurocamp (35 GP) 11.9 PPG 3.2 RPG 5.7 APG 15.7 PER

At 6-foot-6, Micic has the size that NBA scouts drool over when watching point guards. His prowess in running the pick and roll and his ability to step back and shoot also make him an intriguing prospect, despite having limited experience playing against American competition.

With that said, Micic posted a 14 point, 10 assist game against the Adidas USA Select Team earlier this month, showcasing the ability to lead an offense, make good decisions in terms of getting his teammates involved, and be able to score for his own when necessary.

I don’t know that playing off of the ball would utilize Micic’s strengths so maybe pairing him with Monta Ellis for the future isn’t the greatest contingency plan, but being able to learn from Jose Calderon while he develops his game should really benefit the 20 year old Serbian guard. — Jared
