You know you’re not discussing a future all-star when you want to start your entry talking about a player’s size, but at 6-foot-6, Devyn Marble has ideal size and athleticism for an NBA two-guard.
Despite inconsistent shooting numbers, Marble looks comfortable shooting the ball, and has made strides in shooting off of screens. Much better catching and shooting than shooting off of the dribble, Marble’s his most efficient playing off of the ball, as he’s a great cutter and seems to have a good understanding of spacing.
Marble’s also an underrated ball handler and creator, as he looks comfortable with the ball in his hands, and averaged 4.5 assists to 2.2 turnovers per-40 minutes last season. He likely won’t be a distributor at the next level, but his diverse skill set makes him a lot more NBA friendly than if he was just a shooter. — Jared
