2015 Top 120 recruit Josh Reaves commits to Penn State
By Joe Nardone
The Penn State Nittany Lions can add a third member to their 2015 recruiting class. That is because head coach Pat Chambers has been able to lure the talents of Josh Reaves to Happy Valley. Reaves, naturally, made his announcement via the mean streets of Twitter.
Josh Reaves is actually Penn State’s second Rivals Top 150 recruit to join the program for the 2015 year. Reaves, who is ranked 119th by the recruiting service, joins the 114th ranked Mike Watkins and three-star small forward Deividas Zemgulis as the three players who are currently going to play for Chambers.
Reaves is a 6’4″ guard who is averaging 10.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game for Team Takeover (D.C.) in the Nike EYBL. The talented guard chose Penn State over Boston College, Georgetown, Maryland, Temple, Villanova and VCU.
What is interesting about Reaves going to Penn State, though, isn’t if he can be a contributor right away or anything, it is the fact that Chambers is recruiting at a pretty high level at this point, with the proof being in the two top-150 commitments pudding.
Josh Reaves played his last year at the famed Oak Hill Academy in Virginia.
Also, for what it is worth, I tried to embed Reaves’ tweet, but my computer — apparently — does not take kind to basketball emojis.
